Krispy Kreme has reestablished a collaboration that will entice you to indulge in video wafers while evading ghosts.

On Monday, the North Carolina-based doughnut shop unveiled its new "a-maze-ing collaboration" with the video game titan Bandai Namco Entertainment America to commemorate Pac-Man's 45th anniversary.

“This year signifies a remarkable milestone as we commemorate Pac-Man's legacy and his 45 years of influence,” stated Karim Farghaly, the senior vice president of business innovation and licensing at Bandai Namco, in a statement to Food & Wine. “We are delighted to collaborate with Krispy Kreme, a cherished iconic brand, to provide a delightful experience for enthusiasts in celebration of Pac-Man Day.”

The collaboration features three new doughnuts designed to evoke significant video game nostalgia, including the Pac-Man Party Doughnut, which Krispy Kreme describes as an Original Glazed Doughnut "filled with yellow buttercream-flavored icing, adorned with celebration sprinkles, and topped with a Pac-Man piece."

The Team Ghost Doughnut is an unglazed shell filled with chocolate-flavored Kreme, coated in black icing, adorned with a Pac-Man maze design, and crowned with a Team Ghost piece. Finally, there is the Strawberry Power Berry Doughnut, an unglazed shell doughnut filled with strawberry-flavored Kreme, coated in red icing, and adorned with white sprinkles and green leaf icing.

The newly included Pac-Man donuts are most enjoyable in multiplayer mode. "Initiate a dozen and savor a labyrinth of flavors with family, friends, and colleagues," stated Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme's chief growth officer. “Collaborating with Bandai Namco and Pac-Man represents a new pinnacle of excellence.”

Krispy Kreme is commemorating this cooperation by offering consumers a complimentary 10-count of Dots, synonymous with Pac-Man's sustenance in the game, with the purchase of any dozen at the standard price from today until May 14. On Pac-Man Day, May 22, a purchase of any dozen at regular price includes an additional dozen Original Glazed for only 25 cents.

Krispy Kreme aims to distribute 45,000 Original Glazed Doughnuts from now until May 18 during its Hot Light hours, which are from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., or whenever the Hot Light is illuminated. If fans contribute to reaching this giveaway "high score," the firm asserts it will reintroduce its Strawberry Glazed Doughnut, which has not been available since 2023, in tribute to Pac-Man's affinity for fruit.

The Krispy Kreme x Pac-Man Collection is accessible for in-store purchase, as well as for pickup or delivery, available individually or by the dozen. Moreover, a six-pack box is available at select retail partners.
