Miuccia Prada's esteemed companies persist in vying for supremacy, while Saint Laurent ascends into the top five and Jacquemus declines in ranking.

Miu Miu and Prada are ever vying for supremacy. Miuccia Prada serves as the chief designer and founder of two of the world's most renowned luxury companies. Miu Miu has regained its position as the leading brand on the Lyst Index, surpassing Prada, which concluded 2023 in the top spot.
The inaugural quarterly report of 2024 from Lyst Index has been released, indicating the brands that have experienced fluctuations in public interest throughout the first quarter. Miu Miu's ascent to the top position resulted in an 8% increase in online searches at the beginning of 2024, accompanied by a 57% year-on-year gain, with three of its preppy signatures featured on the Q1 "Hottest Products List," marking a historic achievement in the Lyst Index. The brand's illustrious runways and viral partnerships have ensured its longevity, with the deconstructed $1,120 USD New Balance 530SL emerging as the season's most coveted item.
Prada dropped to second position, while Anthony Vaccarello's Saint Laurent entered the top five following its unexpected Paris Fashion Week presentation, resulting in a 10% increase in searches during Q1. Balenciaga appears to have moved past problems and aims to regain its status as a celebrity favorite, jumping from 12th to 8th position among the fastest-rising labels. Valentino, Skims, and Louis Vuitton have elevated their status, whereas Moncler, Jacquemus, and Diesel are gradually declining their prominence.
Miu Miu's preppy apparel and accessories dominated the most sought-after products of Q1, while numerous brands assertively infiltrated our closets. ALAÏA maintains dominance in the ballet flat trend, with sheer variants emerging in 2023 and jeweled embellishments prevailing in Q1, accompanied by a 43% increase in online engagement. Paloma Elesser, Cardi B, and Kim Kardashian endorsed Rick Owens this quarter by donning his form-fitting Prong Down Dress, resulting in a 165% surge in attention. The dress secured eighth spot due to its virality, while Carhartt WIP demonstrated the enduring appeal of classics, with the Detroit Jacket recognized as the fifth most popular item of Q1 2024.
