Places+Faces Offers a Unique Interpretation of the Havana Club Bottle in Recent Collaboration

This summer, Places+Faces collaborated with Havana Club to release a new two-part collection.

Almost four years after their first cooperation, this edition is particularly significant, commemorating a decade of the lifestyle brand with Havana Club’s sustained participation.

Places+Faces introduces a reimagined bottle for Havana Club seven-year old rum as part of the collection. The special-edition piece, inspired by the warmth of Cuba, showcases a label that presents a palette of Aqua Blue and white elements juxtaposed with a vivid yellow. Excessive plus sign motifs are rendered in gold, symbolizing sun rays while alluding to the lifestyle brand.

Ciesay, co-founder of Places+Faces, reflects on the connection, stating, “Our initial collaboration with Havana Club was exclusively for friends and family and not broadly available to the public; thus, we aimed to design a new bottle that alludes to that original design.” The Havana Club bottle featured a black exterior, with a blue emblem at the center adorned with yellow accents. We transformed the label to a complete blue by extracting the blue from the center and incorporated raised gold plus symbols. When the buyer grasps the bottle, they may both perceive and observe the design. It feels really significant.

In conjunction with the collaborative bottle, the lifestyle brand launched a capsule collection with sweatshirts and T-shirts.
