Apple Intelligence has been introduced in the iOS 18.1 upgrade, along with iPadOS 18.1 and macOS Sequoia 15.1. The upgrade is the inaugural version of Apple's exclusive Artificial Intelligence, including a range of new capabilities aimed at enhancing efficiency and expediting activities.

Included is Writing Tools, which operates within Mail, Messages, and Notes, as well as third-party applications. Rewrite falls under the category of Writing Tools. The feature provides users with many renditions of their written content in distinct tones, catering to those desiring a more amicable or a more formal style. Proofread, concurrently, examines grammar and sentence structure while proposing revisions.

The Photo app has been redesigned to facilitate user photo searches. For example, a user might state “Maya skateboarding in a tie-dye shirt,” and the application will retrieve the corresponding image. Clean Up enables users to swiftly modify photographs and eliminate undesirable background elements.

Siri has been extensively integrated into the operating system, functioning across nearly all applications. The bot may also respond to other inquiries regarding Apple products, assisting customers in doing certain tasks on their devices.

Additional capabilities, like Genmoji generation and a drawing-to-photo tool named Image Wand, are scheduled for release with the forthcoming OS upgrade in December. Apple will progressively provide supplementary features in the future months.

The initial suite of Apple Intelligence capabilities is presently accessible for download at no cost on the iPhone 15 Pro and subsequent models via iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1. Devices must be configured to US English to utilize Apple Intelligence.
