The 2026-ready upgrade delivers intricately rendered track layouts, sculpted 3D visuals and seamless navigation designed for fans on the ground.

As Apple gears up for its inaugural year of exclusive United States streaming rights for Formula 1 on Apple TV, the technology company has officially unveiled a comprehensive Apple Maps experience for the forthcoming 2026 racing season.
The Formula 1 Qatar Airways Australian Grand Prix initiates a mapping upgrade that revolutionises fan engagement during the race weekend. For attendees present at the event, the application now provides detailed circuit maps featuring realistic curbs, all 14 designated turns, and comprehensively labelled 3D grandstands. The digital infrastructure also provides easy pop-up sites that efficiently direct participants to access gates, merchandise displays, and critical facilities such as water stations and restrooms.
The upgrade significantly prioritises visual immersion in addition to functional navigation. Enthusiasts can examine accurate 3D representations of significant Albert Park edifices, including the renowned Pit Building and Lakeside Stadium, as well as notable Melbourne sites like the Eureka Tower and St Paul’s Cathedral. The initial deployment focuses mostly on the Australian Grand Prix, but Apple Maps has announced intentions to extend similar detailed features to additional races globally, alongside a thorough 2026 Formula 1 Tracks Around the World Guide.
