The compact fan focuses on low-noise performance and sleek usability, launching April 9 at $99 via Dyson.

Dyson has officially introduced the Dyson HushJet Mini Cool, signifying the company's eagerly awaited foray into the small handheld fan sector. The company, recognised for its superior air treatment and floorcare devices, is now adapting its advanced cooling technology into a convenient, portable format suitable for a mobile lifestyle.

Weighing only 7.5 ounces and measuring 38 millimetres in diameter, the compact device contains a robust brushless DC motor that operates at speeds of up to 65,000 RPM. This sophisticated architecture produces a remarkable airflow velocity of up to 55 miles per hour, equivalent to 80 feet per second. Users can select from five unique airflow settings, in addition to a specialised “Boost” option for a fast, powerful surge of cooling air.
Acoustics are integral to the fan's design, with Dyson carefully engineering the nozzle to eradicate any whining or high-frequency humming during operation. The device originally features a mother-of-pearl-inspired stone and blush finish, accompanied by a collection of functional accessories. Each unit comprises a designated charging stand, a USB-C charging cable, a travel pouch, and a lanyard for hands-free neck carrying.
