By pairing a wired screen with optional fill light, the device turns everyday phones into more capable creator rigs.

Insta360 is enhancing the vlogging experience with the Snap, a portable external monitor that magnetically connects to the back of a smartphone, functioning as a dedicated display for rear-camera selfies. Designed for content creators dissatisfied with inferior front-facing lenses, the attachment maximises the visual capabilities of a phone’s primary sensors while ensuring precise framing.

The rig features a sharp 3.5-inch high-resolution touchscreen that flawlessly replicates the mobile display. From that point, users can adjust camera settings, navigate through menus, and initiate recording without mishandling the gadget. It establishes a connected USB-C connection to ensure minimal latency while drawing power straight from the host phone, eliminating the necessity of carrying additional batteries.

The ordinary model is marketed at $79.99 USD, while the enhanced edition, priced at $89.99 USD, features a built-in fill light with adjustable brightness and colour temperature controls. The magnetic attachment solution is compatible with the iPhone 15 and subsequent models, as well as Android phones that support DisplayPort Alt Mode over USB-C.
