The most recent Samsung Bespoke smart refrigerators, comprising the 32-inch Family Hub Plus and the recently launched 9-inch AI Home display models, are equipped with sophisticated AI cameras. The cameras, located above the refrigerator door and within the unit, monitor the insertion and extraction of objects, thereby sustaining a virtual inventory of the refrigerator's contents. The technology presently identifies up to 37 commonly utilized goods, including fruits and vegetables, while users have the option to manually augment the inventory via the Samsung Food app.

Utilizing real-time inventory data, the AI system detects low supply levels and recommends replenishments through Instacart’s product matching API. Items may be loaded straight to an Instacart cart using the refrigerator's touchscreen interface, allowing consumers to place orders swiftly and effectively. This innovation not only conserves time but also guarantees that vital groceries are consistently accessible, streamlining the daily requirements of kitchen administration.

The Instacart connectivity will be implemented later this year through a software upgrade for Samsung refrigerators using AI Vision Inside. The capability will be accessible on the latest 2025 Bespoke models and certain existing units within the Family Hub lineup.
