TikTok's Latest Feature Enables Sharing of Music from Spotify and Apple Music

TikTok has introduced a new function that will enhance the integration of music streaming with the platform.

The application is designated as “Share to TikTok” and enables users to upload tunes directly from Spotify and Apple Music to the platform, specifically on the “For You” page and within their Stories. Individual songs, albums, and playlists can be shared, either in green screen mode or photo format.

TikTok will let users to share additional streamable content, like podcasts and audiobooks, in addition to music.

All shared content will redirect to the original streaming site of publication. TikTok has established collaborations with streaming services to implement the feature. The announcement comes around six months following the resolution of the licensing spat between TikTok and Universal Music, which reinstated the availability of music by Universal-affiliated artists on the platform.
