The launch focuses on the Koda Nexus, a social hub, and features initial shooter/survival game variants.

Yuga Labs is preparing for the official launch of Otherside on November 12. The Bored Ape Yacht Club's constructed universe seeks mainstream integration. Participants can access the platform using a web browser using an email address. A wallet and NFTs are discretionary.
The launch focuses on "Koda Nexus," an expansive social hub connected to the mythology of Kodas. It links to areas such as The Swamp and Meetropolis. It functions as the perpetual foundation as Yuga expands globally. Amazon linkages are introduced with Boximus, a co-branded Voyager avatar, enhancing visibility inside Amazon’s gaming environment. Yuga is preparing a limited collection of 300 avatars in collaboration with Daniel Arsham.
Initial community experiences encompass shooter and survival modes. Participants can enter social audio "Bubbles," engage in text and voice communication, and navigate creator-designed environments. The Otherside Development Kit enables developers to create and release new games and environments.
Accessibility is the key factor. Email registration reduces obstacles, while on-chain assets remain discretionary. Avatars and items are built on blockchain technology, allowing for ownership and resale outside the platform. Yuga presents a creator-centric, live platform that integrates games, social environments, and interoperable content. It situates Otherside in competition with Fortnite, Roblox, and Minecraft, incorporating a Web3 element.
This represents a tangible post-NFT transition for BAYC and cultural observers. Funding, alpha testing, and ApeFest previews have now solidified into a continuous universe including regular updates and brand collaborations.
