Aman Niseko, the brand's fourth resort in Japan, is scheduled to open in 2027 on the slopes of Mount Moiwa in Hokkaido.

The premium resort firm Aman is augmenting its footprint in Japan with the eagerly awaited inauguration of Aman Niseko on Hokkaido Island. This tranquil location, set to inaugurate in 2027, will be the brand's fourth establishment in Japan and is being marketed as the nation's inaugural comprehensive spa and wellness retreat.
Aman Niseko will be located alone on the elevated slopes of Mount Moiwa, positioned within an unspoiled nature reserve. The design, conceived by the late Kerry Hill Architects (who also designed Aman’s other Japanese properties), is largely influenced by the ancient ryokan style. The interiors are a serene amalgamation of wood, stone, and glass, meticulously crafted to showcase breathtaking forest and mountain vistas, and include private Furo bathtubs and onsen amenities in each of the 30 guest apartments.

Wellness constitutes a fundamental foundation of the resort. A comprehensive Aman Spa will provide Japanese-inspired treatments, featuring both indoor and outdoor onsen hot spring pools, Finnish saunas, and Watsu chambers. In addition to the 30 apartments, the property will have 31 exclusive Aman branded villas, the sole development on the mountain. The resort guarantees a harmonious integration of winter pursuits, including ski-in/ski-out access to Niseko’s esteemed snow, alongside year-round retreats emphasising hiking, cycling, and cultural engagement.
