Avgvst Berlin Launches Its Interchangeable Jewellery Collection in Partnership with Crosby Studios

The collection is set to launch on November 6.

Avgvst is an independent jewellery business established in 2019 by Natalia Bryantseva, located in Berlin, with its main store situated in Berlin-Mitte. Crosby Studios is a creative agency located in Paris and New York, established by Harry Nuriev, that specialises in design projects encompassing architecture, interiors, and branding, with prior partnerships including Nike, Valentino, and Dover Street Market.

The duo has developed a versatile range of silver items that reinterpret commonplace objects. The artistic orientation is based on 'Transformism' — a term established by Nuriev to characterise his practice of transformation and the generation of transformational experiences. He transforms commonplace objects and moments into remarkable artistic expressions.

The collection comprises 24 commonplace items, such a comb, sunglasses, and a flip phone, as well as a themed release entitled Rock’N'Droll, which showcases four music-inspired trinkets: a microphone, a CD, headphones, and a tape. Each item is converted into a little wearable sculpture, fashioned in polished sterling silver by Avgvst's painstaking craftsmanship in jewelry-making.

Each trinket can be affixed to a silver chain or a pair of silver hoop earrings, worn singularly or in conjunction with others. This act of transmutation elevates the mundane to the domain of art. Each item, crafted into subtly satirical collections, transforms into a wearable manifesto that interrogates our understanding of the mundane.
