Tom Wood has inaugurated its store presence at Dover Street Market Ginza in Japan. The store is situated on the fifth floor of DSM and represents the Norwegian jewellery brand's expanding footprint in Japan, after to the inauguration of its flagship store in Aoyama late last year.

The facility was internally developed by the Tom Wood team in Norway, integrating Scandinavian and Japanese architectural elements. A stone floor and white walls establish the basis for minimalistic and brutalist steel and aluminium elements. The walls are adorned with a chrome log exhibit, where the logs ring mirrors. The team states that the logs were influenced by a Norwegian construction technique known as “laftwerk,” which mimics the appearance of a wooden hut, a characteristic also found in Japanese architecture.

Sleek materials contrast with the contemporary jewellery items showcased in three displays, each including five glass shelves. Floor-to-ceiling vertical mirrors illuminate the room.

“This is not merely a retail establishment; it is a commemoration of our brand’s evolution, our commitment to artistic innovation, and our dedication to providing jewellery that integrates into individuals’ narratives,” stated Tom Wood CEO Morten Isachsen.
