BLACKPINK’s Jennie and British pop artist Dua Lipa have collaborated on an energetic track named “Handlebars,” featured in Jennie’s debut solo album Ruby.

“I stumble and succumb to love / Much like an inebriated Tuesday / I consistently invest fully, fully, fully,” the duet vocalises, encapsulating the thrilling and frequently tumultuous experience of immersing oneself in romance. Authored by Lipa, Amy Allen, James Alan Ghaleb, Rob Bisel, and Delacey, “Handlebars” explores the fragility and tumult that frequently characterise fervent partnerships. The single emanates a whimsical, rhythmic, and captivating energy, complemented by a striking, psychedelic-themed music video.

Directed by BRTHR, the "Handlebars" music video immerses viewers in a surreal odyssey through a vibrant, kaleidoscope realm of colour and imagination. The video commences with Jennie reclining on a circular bed encircled by television displays, eliciting a futuristic ambiance. While traversing a rain-soaked alley, a snap of her fingers immobilises the precipitation. The most visually arresting moment occurs when the two stars rest upon a shimmering, heart-shaped spider's web, symbolising their entanglement in love and desire.

This is not the inaugural collaboration between Jennie and Dua Lipa. The duo previously collaborated on BLACKPINK’s 2017 hit “Kiss and Make Up,” and their current tune, “Handlebars,” once again highlights their undeniable chemistry.
