The line includes graphic t-shirts and jacquard knits, showcasing iconic characters and moments from the anime.

The Japanese label MAISON SPECIAL has launched a limited-edition collaboration with Hideaki Anno's Evangelion anime franchise. The collection comprises four unique graphic T-shirts and three jacquard-knit short-sleeve tops, each crafted to reimagine significant characters and scenes from the legendary series.
The collection prioritizes workmanship and originality over traditional screen printing, employing hand-drawn graphics and complex knitting techniques to incorporate cherished pieces from Evangelion into clothing. The graphic tees showcase newly illustrated representations of Rei Ayanami, Units 00/01/02, Pen Pen, and Lilith, all rendered in a unique hand-drawn digital style.

Simultaneously, the jacquard-knit shirts exhibit key scenes from the anime, rendered in intricately textured five-color knits that emphasize MAISON SPECIAL’s artistry. This method provides enthusiasts with a wearable tribute that is both sophisticated and profoundly personal. Presently available for pre-order through MAISON SPECIAL, items from this collaborative capsule are priced between ¥13,200 and ¥15,400 JPY (about $91 to $107 USD). Graphic tees will be available for purchase starting June 28, followed by jacquard knits on July 12, 2025.
