Mercedes-Benz Design is expanding its signature ultra-luxury brand from land to sea with the introduction of the Maybach Ocean Club. Situated on a hypothetical private vessel titled “Beyond Horizons,” this maritime enclave reinterprets the opulent lifestyle of the 0.1%, presenting a floating members’ club that reflects the magnificence of 1920s ocean liners. Drawing from Maybach’s historical origins in maritime propulsion, the project adapts the brand’s refined automotive aesthetic into more than 50,000 square feet of intricately planned deck space and luxurious cabins.

Presented by Chief Design Officer Gorden Wagener, the “Beyond Horizons” idea aims to provide the grandeur of superyacht ownership while eliminating conventional logistical challenges. Through the implementation of a membership model, the Maybach Ocean Club offers a comprehensive luxury experience, enabling the global elite to navigate the seas in an ambiance reminiscent of upscale real estate in Miami or Dubai. The interior style, maintained in perpetual freshness, showcases the distinctive Maybach symbol and luxurious design elements throughout its cabins and dining spaces.

Created in collaboration with German naval architects Dölker + Voges, the club is a strategic enhancement for Mercedes-Benz Places. The ship, now in the proposal phase, is an audacious vision for the future of experienced luxury, offering a world-traveling refuge for individuals seeking to escape in the company of like-minded others.
