The Jamaican-American designer is set to make her official debut in February 2026.

The Jamaican-American designer of Diotima will now guide the American luxury brand into its next phase, after the departure of Proenza Schouler’s creators, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, who transitioned to Loewe in March. Scott's initial presentation is set for February 2026; nonetheless, she has significantly contributed to Proenza Schouler's forthcoming Spring 2026 collection, having served as a consultant in the brand's design office for the past several months.
“I am thrilled to join Proenza Schouler, a brand central to American Fashion, which I have long esteemed,” Scott stated. I possess profound admiration for the exquisite realm that Jack and Lazaro have masterfully created, and I anticipate contributing my viewpoint in conversation with their legacy. I express my gratitude to Shira for her confidence, and I am honored to assume this job to conceptualize the forthcoming chapter of Proenza Schouler.
Regarding the appointment, Shira Suveyke Snyder, CEO of Proenza Schouler, stated, “As one of the most esteemed design talents of contemporary times, Rachel offers a novel and feminine viewpoint to a brand founded on the essence of the modern American woman.” Her deep comprehension of Proenza Schouler's brand principles, combined with her remarkable skill in integrating craftsmanship with innovation, rendered her the ideal candidate to advance the house.
