Rihanna Clarifies the Delay in Her Album Release

Last week, Rihanna launched her new Fenty Beauty Soft’lit Foundation in Los Angeles. In an interview with Extra, Rihanna discussed her diverse interests across multiple industries.

During her visit to inaugurate the brand, Rihanna remarked, “This is indeed the most significant launch we have undertaken since the brand's inception in 2017.” This is significant for us. A new epoch in foundational development for the brand has commenced. When queried about her plans for the forthcoming Met Gala, she hinted, “I’m actually opting for a rather simplistic approach this year…” Exceedingly straightforward. I believe the outcome will depend on my cosmetics and hairstyle. We wish to engage with that, but I am uncertain about how to proceed with it.

Subsequently, Rihanna was enquired about the perennial question of the release of her new song. Providing an extended rationale for her decision to withhold music for the time being, she hinted at the next music endeavour, stating, “It’s going to be extraordinary.” Regarding her reluctance to release the new album, she stated, “It must be [extraordinary] — that is the sole reason it has not been released yet.” If I do not resonate with it and believe it does not reflect my progress or the time I have spent away. There ought to be a demonstration of progress, correct? I desire to engage with music as a form of play, seeking enjoyment and an authentic expression of my current state. Regarding prospective collaborations, Rihanna remarked, “I’m not a big collaborator…It has to be very intentional, so I’ll know when I have the record.”
