Last night, Sydney Sweeney attended the 2025 Hamptons International Film Festival in a whimsical costume, commemorating her Achievement in Acting award. The celebrity was recognized at the event for her titular part in the biographical sports drama Christy, in which she underwent significant physical and mental transformation to portray the ascent to stardom of 1990s American boxer Christy Martin.

For the event, Sweeney revisited the 1990s, utilizing the Thierry Mugler archives. The actress and her stylist, Molly Dickson, selected a cropped, fitted suit jacket featuring curled lapels and long sleeves, fastening it over a coordinating minidress. The dress had a plunging neckline and a bow motif concealed by the jacket, created with a basque waist bustier and a sheer, structured tutu adorned with small white bows on each hip. Sweeney enhanced her outfit by layering a coordinating miniskirt beneath the dress and complemented the look with pointed-toe Jimmy Choo heels. She let her long blonde hair to cascade down her back in natural waves and opted for delicate jewelry, choosing a slender chain necklace.

Subsequently, she donned white sneakers, a spontaneous decision made by the actress, as indicated by Dickson’s Instagram account, humorously remarking: “what occurs in my absence—she inevitably resorts to sneakers”. This was not the inaugural occasion a celebrity donned this Mugler ensemble. In November, Ariana Grande attended the Los Angeles Wicked premiere after party wearing the same dress, provided by Sweet Disorder Vintage.
