The album achieved a historic 4.002 million units, the highest weekly total since 1991.

Taylor Swift is debuting at No. 1 on this week’s Billboard 200 with the record-breaking The Life of a Showgirl.

Her most recent album achieves 4.002 million equivalent album units in its inaugural week, comprising 3,479,500 in album sales and 522,600 in streaming equivalent album units (680.9 million on-demand streams). The Life of a Showgirl establishes new benchmarks as the highest weekly totals for an album since Luminate commenced electronic data collection in 1991.

Furthermore, she surpasses Adele's 25 for the highest single-week equivalent album units and pure album sales. Swift is now the artist with the second-most No. 1 hits, surpassing Drake and JAY-Z, and trailing only The Beatles.

This week's top 10 includes the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack at No. 2, Morgan Wallen at Nos. 3 and 10, Cardi B at No. 4, and Sabrina Carpenter at No. 5. The bottom half comprises Bad Bunny, Olivia Dean, Alex Warren, and SZA, ranked sixth to ninth, respectively.
