The CFDA and Tiffany & Co. Introduce a New Jewellery Designer Award

The victor will be awarded a year-long fellowship within Tiffany & Co.’s design department and a monetary prize of $50,000 USD.

Tiffany & Co. has collaborated with the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) to establish a new Jewellery Designer Award, intended to honour American jewellery designers dedicated to promoting inclusivity within the design sector and to elevate jewellery design as a distinct category comparable to womenswear and menswear.



Chosen individuals will obtain mentorships and practical learning experiences that explore Tiffany & Co.’s innovative methodologies. A distinguished selection committee will evaluate each participant's work, and the program's winner will be awarded a year-long fellowship in Tiffany & Co.'s design department along with a $50,000 USD prize.



The 2024 selection committee comprises the executive vice president of product, communications, and industrial at Tiffany & Co. Alexandre Arnault, CFDA board member; advocate Bethann Hardison; Frank Everett, vice chairman of jewellery at Sotheby’s; actress Gabrielle Union; creative director and stylist Jahleel Weaver; founder and chief creative officer Jason Wu; supermodel and actress Joan Smalls; chief artistic officer of jewellery and high jewellery at Tiffany & Co. Nathalie Verdeille and Rajni Jacques, the global head of fashion and cosmetics at Snap Inc.



The inaugural Tiffany & Co. x CFDA Jewellery Designer Award enhances Tiffany Atrium's dedication to promoting enduring transformation across the jewellery and design sectors. Applications for the 2024 program are currently available on the CFDA's website. Submissions will conclude on Friday, August 16, and participants will be revealed in the autumn. The recipient of the Tiffany & Co. x CFDA Jewellery Designer Award will be announced in early 2025.
