Sources suggest Apple is preparing a smaller, lower-cost MacBook infused with bold colors for a broader audience.

Apple is allegedly poised to disrupt its laptop range with the unveiling of a vibrant, budget-friendly MacBook at a special event on March 4. After receiving an official invitation adorned with a multi-hued emblem, industry observers propose that the technology behemoth is about to unveil a more accessible entry into the Mac environment, likely named the “MacBook E.”
Mark Gurman of Bloomberg reports that the forthcoming device may utilise an innovative manufacturing process aimed at accelerating and reducing the cost of aluminium shell production. This change in production is speculated to introduce a dynamic new appearance to the MacBook series, using tested colours such as yellow, green, bright blue, pink, silver, and dark grey. Although the definitive colour selection remains unverified, the "Apple Experience" branding strongly suggests a shift from the brand's conventional professional hues towards the vibrant palette shown on the M4 iMac.
The new laptop is anticipated to significantly diverge from existing standards, purportedly utilising the A18 Pro chip, which is also present in the iPhone 16 Pro. Notwithstanding its smartphone roots, benchmarks indicate that the A18 Pro is approximately 46% swifter than the M1 CPU in single-core operations, providing a formidable equilibrium of efficiency and power for a device anticipated to be somewhat less than 13 inches. This hardware selection, coupled with speculated competitive pricing, seeks to mitigate the escalating expenses of RAM and storage components presently affecting the wider electronics sector.
