Bloomberg's Mark Gurman asserts that the 20th anniversary of the iPhone in 2027 will be characterized by an Apple "product renaissance."

On May 11, Mark Gurman's Power On newsletter, published by Bloomberg, disclosed that 2027 will be a significant year for Apple, characterized by a "product renaissance" with substantial design alterations.
One of the most eagerly awaited prospects is a purportedly "predominantly glass, curved iPhone – devoid of any display cutouts." While Apple initiated its exploration of primarily glass designs with the iPhone X, the 20th model is anticipated to advance this concept, potentially concealing the camera and Face ID technology beneath the display.
Although competitor Samsung has already expanded its display to the edges of its devices, experts remain uncertain if Apple would adopt a similar approach. Some reference Apple patents from 2019 and as early as 2013, investigating all-glass designs featuring a seamless curve that eliminates the sides entirely.
Gurman reports that additional goods anticipated for release in 2027 comprise Apple's inaugural foldable iPhone and the company's first smart glasses, competing with recent innovations from Meta and Ray-Ban. The newsletter highlighted Apple Intelligence's significant contribution to forthcoming Apple inventions, noting that smart glasses and potentially AirPods may incorporate the company's artificial intelligence, utilizing supplementary cameras for contextual data collection.
Although 2027 is far, aficionados can anticipate additional information emerging as the iPhone's 20th anniversary nears.
