The new features will be introduced in iOS 26.2, which is presently undergoing developer beta testing.

Apple Podcasts will soon have automatically created chapters for English shows and permit creators to incorporate links at specific timestamps within their episodes. Timed links may also be added to episodes automatically anytime creators mention another podcast.
Creators may decline both features, and chapters will be generated solely when creators do not provide their own. Chapters generated automatically will be indicated as such above the chapter list of each episode. Earlier this year, Spotify introduced a comparable auto-generated chapters option.
The timed links tool enables artists to furnish connections to Apple Music, Apple News, Apple Podcasts, Apple TV, and additional platforms, which are timestamped to appear at designated moments in their episodes. The links will appear in a banner on the Now Playing screen and will be displayed in the transcript and episode details page. Both features will be introduced in iOS 26.2, which is presently undergoing developer beta testing.
