The handset is expected to combine a titanium alloy body with a book-style hinge mechanism.

The IT sector is abuzz with reports indicating that the Apple iPhone Fold is presently under development. Tim Hardwick of MacRumors reports that Apple is poised to officially enter the foldable smartphone market, aiming for a launch period in late 2026 or early 2027.
Speculation is that the forthcoming device will feature a book-style configuration, with an estimated 7.8-inch inside display and a 5.5-inch external screen. The smartphone is speculated to possess a titanium alloy casing complemented by a stainless steel and titanium hinge for enhanced structural integrity. According to supply chain analysts, the phone may exclude Face ID identification, opting instead for a Touch ID side button to optimise internal space.
Proposed specifications indicate a dual-lens back camera system, cameras for both folded and unfolded configurations, and a high-capacity battery. Due to the high-quality components necessary for the display panel and hinge, industry experts predict that the device will have a significant price, perhaps between $2,000 USD and $2,500 USD.
