Cambridge Audio Introduces Enhanced 'Melomania P100 SE' Wireless Headphones

Cambridge Audio's Melomania P100 headphones unexpectedly gained popularity last year, marking the brand's inaugural over-ear model and incorporating numerous features typically absent in the sub-$300 price category.

The British hi-fi manufacturer has released an updated special edition, which it claims offers enhanced comfort and a more dynamic sound. For the first time, the headphones are available in a new blue colorway, in addition to the returning classic black and white selections.

The Melomania P100 SE headphones preserve the premium attributes of the original Melomania P100, with an impressive 100-hour battery life, multipoint connectivity, high-resolution music playback, and additional functionalities. The headphones are equipped with identical three-layer 40mm drivers, custom-engineered with neodymium magnets; however, the manufacturer asserts that these have been "meticulously retuned" to provide a more dynamic audio experience at "higher listening volumes."

In addition to enhancements in sound quality, Cambridge Audio has prioritized comfort in its new model. The special edition headphones feature a newly improved "luxuriously cushioned" headband, which the brand claims is "designed for boundless listening" and offers superior comfort during extended listening periods. The P100 SE has the brand's unique DynamEQ technology, which purportedly maintains a perfect balance in music across all volume levels, including low volumes that sometimes compromise sound clarity.

The brand has enhanced its Melomania Connect for both iOS and Android, enabling consumers to customize the audio experience of their preferred genres through six presets, in addition to praising the new headphones. The Cambridge Audio Melomania P100 SE headphones are offered on the brand's website for £249 GBP / €279 EUR / $299 USD.
