In a move to stimulate high-margin growth, the luxury German camera brand has introduced a proprietary, factory-only metallic grey finish to its flagship product lines, diversifying its core aesthetic palette.

Leica has unveiled a new metallic grey coating for its camera portfolio, enhancing the brand's conventional black-and-silver palette with a contemporary, subtle hue. The finish was crafted at Leica’s Wetzlar facility to highlight sophistication and exclusivity, making its premiere on the Leica M11‑P, Leica Q3, Leica D‑Lux 8, and the APO‑Summicron‑M 50 f/2 ASPH. lens.
The Leica M11‑P spearheads the launch, showcasing a full-metal chassis in metallic grey adorned with diamond-patterned leather for enhanced tactile allure. Complementary accessories consist of a dark-brown leather battery, protection, and carrying strap, in addition to a versatile black leather protector featuring ARCA-SWISS compatibility. The APO-Summicron-M 50 f/2 ASPH. lens features a matching finish, with red engravings on the f-stop and distance scales, creating a harmonious combination with the M11-P. Pricing commences at $200 USD for accessories and escalates to $10,400 USD for the M11-P and $9,990 USD for the lens, available globally from May 28, 2026.
