Leica Expands Premium Home Cinema Portfolio With Ultra-Compact Cine Compact 1 Projector

The luxury German optics manufacturer has launched a portable 4K hardware asset, utilizing an integrated 360-degree articulation mechanism to target the expanding premium outdoor and residential projection market.

The projector features a robust aluminum Bauhaus-style casing and a sophisticated glass facade, harmonizing robustness with exquisite design. This plug-and-play apparatus provides a luminosity of up to 1,700 lumens and can project images up to 220 inches in size. The projector incorporates a precisely calibrated optical system, which includes a Leica Summicron zoom lens with aspherical elements, a 0.47” DMD image chip, and energy-efficient Triple RGB laser technology.

Utilizing Leica Image Optimization (LIO™) and Dolby Vision, the system generates pristine 4K images distinguished by accurate contrasts, clear details, and authentic colors, guaranteeing constantly superior display quality on walls, ceilings, or outdoor surfaces. The Cine Compact 1 is characterized by its flexibility, featuring an integrated 360° rotating system, automated zoom, autofocus, keystone correction, and intelligent screen framing for seamless setup. The connectivity is strong, facilitated by the VIDAA operating system, which provides direct access to Netflix, Disney+, and Amazon Prime, as well as support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Apple AirPlay, HDMI, and USB.

The projector, priced at £1,450 GBP (about $1,850 USD), will be available from June 18, 2026, through Leica's online and physical retail locations in the UK, Europe, North America, Asia, and Australia, with Japan to follow in July.
