DJI Unveils The Mic 3: Its Most Sophisticated Mini Wireless Microphone to Date

Accommodates up to four transmitters and eight receivers, featuring a 400-meter range and a 28-hour battery life through the charging case.

DJI has unveiled the Mic 3, a tiny and ultralight wireless microphone that enhances the OsmoAudio ecosystem with significant performance improvements. Weighing a mere 16 grams, the inconspicuous transmitter accommodates up to four transmitters and eight receivers simultaneously, rendering it optimal for multi-camera productions, interviews, and group recordings. Mic 3 marks a significant advancement for the series by incorporating adaptive gain control that dynamically adjusts audio levels to minimize clipping, along with three voice tone presets: Regular, Rich, and Bright, as well as two levels of active noise cancellation.

Creators gain 32 GB of internal storage with dual-file 32-bit float recording, guaranteeing the preservation of both original and enhanced tracks. The transmitter incorporates high-precision timecode for effortless synchronization in post-production. The Mic 3 features a 400-meter range, automatic frequency hopping, and an average charging power of 850 kW, making it suitable for challenging conditions such as concerts and trade events. The transmitters have a battery life of eight hours, while the receiver lasts for ten hours, and the charging case prolongs usage to 28 hours.

The DJI Mic 3 is currently available, commencing at €199 EUR or $232 USD. It is compatible with DJI’s Osmo series and connects through Bluetooth, USB-C, or 3.5mm ports for enhanced versatility. It will also make its inaugural offline appearance at IFA Berlin from September 5 to September 9, 2025.
