Has there ever been a video game launch as eagerly awaited as Grand Theft Auto VI? Projected to generate $10 billion USD during its lifetime, the excitement has been unparalleled. Nonetheless, one factor persists in obscuring the enthusiasm: delays.

Numerous prominent titles have experienced delays in their release dates, and Rockstar Games is no exception, as the original launch window for GTA VI, initially set for Fall 2025, has been postponed to May 2026 earlier this year. The studio has now announced a definitive release date, which is four months later than initially anticipated. In a communiqué directed for their followers, Rockstar Games declared:

Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on Thursday, November 19, 2026. We apologize for prolonging the wait, but the additional months will enable us to complete the game to the high standard of quality you expect and deserve.

As of this writing, the anticipation for Grand Theft Auto VI exceeds one year once more. Anticipate its release on Thursday, November 29 of the next year for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Remain attentive for updates as additional trailers, and hopefully no further release date postponements, are disseminated prior to the highly awaited premiere.
