The fragment design x Fujifilm GFX100RF “Fragment Edition” is a limited collaboration that integrates photography technology with Hiroshi Fujiwara’s minimalist design philosophy.
The special version, derived from Fujifilm’s flagship GFX100RF medium-format mirrorless camera, features a unique blacked-out appearance complemented by polished surfaces and meticulously made accents. The upper casing and anodized aluminum structure are meticulously hand-polished to achieve a lustrous, mirror-like, deep black finish, offering a rich sheen that contrasts with the ordinary version's matte texture. Fujiwara’s distinctive lightning bolt insignia is discreetly positioned on the top casing and associated accessories.

The Fragment Edition features distinctive design elements, like the fragment design logo at startup, a bespoke leather strap made from a single hide, and accessories that complement the camera's unique appearance. It introduces a specialized monochrome film simulation recipe named FRGMT BW, created in partnership with Fujiwara, which accentuates pronounced tonal contrasts, coarse textures, and striking shadow dynamics — perfect for aficionados of black-and-white photography.
The camera maintains the technical features of the ordinary GFX100RF, featuring a 102-megapixel sensor and sophisticated image processing capabilities, however is presented as a very valuable edition. The camera is priced at ¥998,000 JPY (about $6,375 USD) and is solely available in Japan through a lottery system via Fujifilm Mall, with pre-orders commencing on December 20, 2025.
