It features an ergonomic metal grip that elevates the camera to "the quintessential instrument for street photography."

Insta360, renowned for its high-resolution video cameras, has ventured into a new domain through its collaboration with Leica. The brand has recently introduced the Xplorer Grip Kit and Ace Pro 2 Xplorer Bundle, which include an accessory designed to convert its flagship Ace Pro 2 action camera into a handheld stills-style street camera. Somewhat akin to a Leica?
The Xplorer Grip Kit accessory pack includes a newly designed camera cage for the Ace Pro 2, functioning as both an ergonomic grip and enabling the user to carry the 8K AI-powered action camera similarly to a point-and-shoot camera. The bundle includes several attachments that may be affixed to the primary Utility Frame, such as a Cold Shoe Shutter Button that functions as an extended shutter button. Insta360 asserts that its new bundle provides customers with a “contemporary aesthetic with a nostalgic essence,” transforming its premier action camera into a comprehensive stills camera—termed “the quintessential instrument for street photography and urban exploration.”

This innovative accessory revitalizes the Ace Pro 2, released last November, by introducing novel applications and expanding creative opportunities for its users. The attachment is compatible with the original Ace Pro, as it shares proportions comparable to its replacement, the Ace Pro 2.
The new Xplorer accessory from Insta360 is now available. The item is available for individual purchase in the Xplorer Grip Kit for $84.99 USD, or as part of the Ace Pro 2 Xplorer Bundle, which includes an Ace Pro 2 camera, priced at $479.99 USD.
