Commemorating the collaboration – and the launch of Headphone (1) – Nothing and KEF recently conducted an exclusive launch event at the KEF Music Gallery in central London. A cutting-edge venue, intended as a hub for exploring exceptional sound, featuring listening lounges, a café, and a podcast room, the music gallery served as an extension of the headphone's immersive audio experience, attracting a collective of artists, tastemakers, and producers to sample and engage with the sophisticated device.

Lauded by Nothing’s Head of Design as a product that “looks different, works differently, and encourages a more expressive connection with sound,” the event embraced the theme of “Come to Play,” featuring DJ stations where guests could play their preferred tracks on the headphones and test the newly launched flagship Nothing Phone (3). In another location, the auditory inquiry resumed in the cinema room, showcasing Nothing and KEF’s acoustic innovation through excerpts from cult films.

Following brief addresses by Andrew Freshwater, Head of Global Smart Products Marketing at Nothing, and Zoe Baddeley, Associate Marketing Director at KEF, a live performance by DJ, music curator, and co-founder of the music platform Touching Bass, Errol, elevated the evening's energy, utilizing Headphone (1) to expertly mix and select his tracks. Equipped with beverages, including whimsically reimagined cans from Ghost Labs and beers from NOAM, the imaginative crowd demonstrated that self-expression was integral to the auditory experience, with the headphones adding an additional dimension to their appearance. The Headphone (1) is now available for purchase on Nothing's website, KEF's dedicated web, and partner retailers for $299.
