Klipsch has unveiled the next iteration of its renowned loudspeaker - the Klipschorn AK7. Meticulously hand-assembled in Hope, Arkansas, the revised model preserves its iconic horn-loaded three-way configuration while integrating contemporary engineering enhancements and an eye-catching new gloss option.

The AK7 now incorporates a K-406M Tractrix midrange horn, an enhanced KT-1133-HP compression driver, and optimized high-frequency dispersion using a wide-dispersion phase plug. These enhancements improve clarity, dynamics, and temporal alignment for a more immersive auditory experience. A revamped input/output panel facilitates the seamless integration of Klipsch’s optional Heritage Active Crossover ($3,499 USD), a digital signal processor that provides superior control over phase, EQ, and gain settings.

Motivated by the triumph of the flagship Jubilee, Klipsch lead engineer Roy “Chief Bonehead” Delgado resurrected long-established concepts to advance the AK7 while maintaining the integrity of Paul W. Klipsch’s original 1946 design. Additionally included is the new “American Auburn” finish, a rich wood hue that complements Black Ash and American Walnut in the Heritage collection. Employing book-matched veneers and precise craftsmanship, each speaker is constructed to stringent specifications.

With a price of $17,998 USD per pair, the Klipschorn AK7 harmonizes classic design with cutting-edge acoustics, respecting tradition while embracing innovation. Now accessible through approved Heritage retailers, with additional information obtainable on Klipsch’s website.
