The Japanese audio firm km5 has introduced a new product: the Lightwear Headphones Hp1. Created to enhance the brand's flagship product – the Instant Disk Audio Cp1 CD players, it provides a novel choice for music aficionados desiring a lightweight, entirely wireless on-ear configuration.

The headphones harmoniously combine comfort and functionality, serving as a liaison between in-ear and over-ear designs, with a weight of merely 103 grams. Users can utilize both wireless Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity and a cable connection with separate LR technology. The headphones have 40mm drivers that provide superior audio quality, delivering a robust and extensive range of sound across low to high frequencies.

The design amalgamates retro aspects with contemporary functionality, rendering the product aesthetically pleasing and technologically sophisticated. The Hp1 offers features such as noise cancellation, transparent mode, and up to 24 hours of playback, delivering a seamless audio experience for many daily situations. The design incorporates intuitive controls, enabling users to easily handle power, volume, playback, and access to the voice assistant from the device.

The headphones have magnetic, easily interchangeable ear cushions available in several colors for customization. It is available in two primary color versions, black and white, providing additional stylistic options to accommodate personal preferences. The Lightwear Headphones Hp1, in partnership with bPr BEAMS, are presently available for pre-sale through km5 and BEAMS at a price of ¥22,000 JPY (about $153 USD).
