Microsoft has introduced two new models in its Surface Copilot+ PC series, including a tiny 12-inch Surface Pro and an updated 13-inch Surface Laptop.

The Surface Pro, a 2-in-1 device functioning as both a tablet and a laptop, is being introduced in a new 12-inch size—slightly smaller than its predecessor—designed for portability while maintaining high performance, targeting creatives on the move. The new 12-inch model is the "thinnest and lightest" in the entire Copilot+ PC lineup, featuring an adjustable, integrated kickstand and a detachable keyboard. Additionally, the redesigned structure permits the Slim Pen stylus to attach magnetically to the rear of the tablet for storage and charging purposes.

Microsoft introduced its AI-enhanced Copilot+ PC laptops last year, offering two sizes (13.8-inch and 15-inch) at the time of launch. The new 13-inch Surface Laptop, constructed from anodized aluminum, features notable enhancements such as the standard inclusion of USB-C fast charging, replacing the proprietary charging port, and boasts the series' longest battery life to date.
Both models utilize Qualcomm's high-performance Snapdragon X Plus processor, with Microsoft asserting that its new Surface Laptop "surpasses the MacBook Air M3."
Microsoft is unveiling two new color options, “Violet” and “Ocean,” alongside the returning popular “Platinum,” resulting in a total of three finish selections in the roster.

The latest Surface Pro and Surface Laptop are currently available for preorder on Microsoft's website. The Surface Pro is priced at £799 GBP / $799 USD, while the Surface Laptop is available for £899 GBP / $899 USD. Both devices will be released on May 20 in the U.S. and June 10 in the U.K.
