The earbuds include 45 dB Smart ANC, representing a substantial enhancement over the Ear (2), and offer 10 hours of playback time.

In the wake of the success of its Headphone (1) and Phone (3), Nothing has introduced its third-generation truly wireless earbuds: the Ear (3). The Ear (3) enhances the transparent design ethos of the Ear (2) with significant improvements in materials, audio quality, and user experience.
The most notable upgrade is a redesigned charging case constructed completely from recycled aluminum, substituting the plastic shell of the Ear (2). The earbuds maintain their simple design, now enhanced with sophisticated metal embellishments. A unique "Talk" button on the case enables Nothing's Super Mic technology, a dual-microphone array that filters ambient noise up to 95 dB, ensuring crystal-clear calls and voice notes, a feature lacking in the previous generation.

Within each bud, three directional microphones and a bone-conduction Voice Pickup Unit (VPU) detect micro-vibrations from the jaw and ear canal, thereby enhancing the isolation of the user's voice. Smart Adaptive Noise Cancellation diminishes external sound by up to 45 dB, surpassing the Ear (2) by 5 dB, while a transparency mode ensures users remain cognizant of their environment when necessary.
The Ear (3) is engineered for optimal performance and convenience, providing up to 10 hours of playing without Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and a total of 38 hours when used with its case. A 10-minute rapid charge provides 10 hours of usage, and Qi wireless charging is compatible. Supplementary features including pinch controls, in-ear sensing, low-latency gaming mode, IP54 water and dust resistance, and seamless interaction with ChatGPT through the Essential Space app.
The Ear (3) is available for pre-order in Black and White at a price of $179 USD, with official sales commencing on September 25, 2025.
