Peter McKinnon Collaborates with Insta360 for a Limited Edition X4 Pro Camera

Canadian photographer and filmmaker Peter McKinnon has collaborated with Insta360 to produce a customized edition of the X4 Pro action camera.

The 'Peter McKinnon Edition Pro Bundle' is a comprehensive package that contains the company's newly released flagship 360º action camera, a novel foldable '2-in-1 Selfie Stick,' a memory card, and a battery. The newly designed selfie stick prioritizes mobility and, when collapsed, matches the proportions of the camera itself. This feature, along with its capability to be directly attached onto the camera, enables the two to create a compact, travel-friendly unit.

In addition to the standard ‘Pro Bundle’, Insta360 is producing 200 units of a ‘Limited Edition Bundle’ that includes supplementary items curated by McKinnon from his various product collaborations, such as a ‘PM Camera Tool’, McKinnon Camera Sling 5L, and PM Lightroom V5 Presets Card – an Adobe Lightroom-compatible preset enabling the artist's admirers to emulate his aesthetic in their own photographs.

The Insta360 X4 camera is a high-resolution 360º camera capable of capturing 8K at 30fps, 5.7K at 60fps, and 4K slow-motion at 100fps. Insta360 promotes it as "two cameras in one," as it functions as a conventional wide-angle action camera in 'Single-Lens Mode,' eliminating the necessity for customers to transport multiple devices. The camera can be positioned in various orientations, and users may operate it using voice commands or gestures, facilitated by the 5nm AI processor. Additionally, the X4 includes removable lens protectors, a highly sought-after enhancement absent in the prior model. The Peter McKinnon X4 showcases the artist's signature on the camera body and its supporting accessories.

The 'Peter McKinnon Edition Pro Bundle' ($629 USD) and the 'Limited Edition Bundle' ($869 USD) are currently available, with the latter being restricted to the United States and Canada.
