Samsung is officially discontinuing the Galaxy Z TriFold, abruptly terminating the hyper-premium device's remarkably brief existence. The $2,899 USD triple-folding device, which arrived in the United States in late January, sold out swiftly and will not be refilled until the existing retail inventory is depleted, starting with its home market in South Korea.

The ambitious smartphone, while generating significant buzz and showcasing Samsung's engineering prowess in the foldable sector, was inherently intended to be a limited-edition collector's item rather than a mainstream product. The TriFold features a substantial 10-inch primary display and a complex dual-hinge mechanism, targeting ultra-premium flexibility for early technology adopters.

A Samsung representative verified the cessation to Bloomberg, indicating that the brand will merely deplete its remaining inventory in the US and select international markets. Moreover, rumours suggest that Samsung has no imminent intentions to create a direct successor, thereby concluding this unconventional hardware experiment for the foreseeable future.
