The brand has included AI into their offering for the first time, termed "Awesome Intelligence."

Samsung has launched its newest Galaxy A series, with three smartphones: the Galaxy A56 5G, Galaxy A36 5G, and Galaxy A26 5G. The South Korean business is introducing AI elements to the series for the first time, unveiling Awesome Intelligence — an AI platform specifically created for this family of phones – alongside the Galaxy AI platform present in its top Galaxy S series.
All three smartphones are equipped with Android 15 and Samsung's latest One UI 7 pre-installed. Each device is equipped with a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Display, boasting a refresh rate of "up to 120Hz"; however, the effective viewable area is marginally reduced to 6.5 inches due to the screen's rounded corners. The phones can achieve a maximum brightness of 1,200 nits and are equipped with Vision Booster, a function introduced with the Galaxy Tab S9 in 2023, to enhance visibility in bright conditions. To enhance durability, Samsung has employed Gorilla Glass on both the front and rear of each device.

Samsung is highlighting the enhancements to the cameras of the new phones, with all three models receiving updates and using a quad-camera configuration. The trio use a same primary camera, a 50MP F1.8 model featuring enhanced autofocus and integrated stabilization; however, the resemblances cease at that point. The A56 features a 12MP F2.2 ultra-wide camera, whereas the A36 and A26 are equipped with an 8MP F2.2 ultra-wide camera. Both the A56 and A36 possess a 5MP F2.4 macro camera, while the A26 includes a 2MP F2.4 macro camera. In terms of the front-facing "selfie camera," both the A56 and A36 are fitted with a 12MP F2.2 camera that supports 4K recording and 10-bit HDR.

Beyond technical specifications, Samsung has incorporated numerous features aimed at enhancing the user experience, such as Best Face, which enables the selection of the optimal facial expression for each individual by capturing a series of photos and automatically generating the final image, and Object Eraser, which facilitates the effortless removal of elements from photographs. It has included advancements in low-light photography with Nightography, utilizing the enhanced camera sensors of the phones to facilitate "stunning content in low-light environments."
All models have enhanced battery life, each equipped with a 5,000mAh battery that supports Super Fast Charge 2.0 technology. The A56 is equipped with Samsung’s Exynos 1580 chipset, whilst the A36 has Snapdragon’s 6 Gen 3 mobile engine. All three models are equipped with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage as standard, while the Enterprise variants may provide modest variations in configuration. All versions possess an IP67 rating, rendering them resistant to dust and water. Samsung guarantees "up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades" along with "six years of security updates" for each device in the new Galaxy A series, ensuring longevity and peace of mind.
The new Samsung Galaxy A series has begun to release, with availability varying significantly by area. The A56 is priced at £499 GBP / $499 USD, the A36 at £399 GBP / $399 USD, and the A26 at £299 GBP / $299 USD.
