Spacex Weighs June 2026 IPO At $1.5 Trillion Valuation

Global business media reports depict a SpaceX IPO that resembles cosmic theatrical rather than a conventional Wall Street debut. According to insiders, Elon Musk aims for the float to occur in mid-June, coinciding with the rare alignment of Jupiter and Venus in the night sky, which has not been observed in over three years, shortly before his 55th birthday. The planetary timing aligns with a prolonged pattern of numerology and subtle humour embedded in his business choices, exemplified by the notorious $420 USD Tesla post and the $54.20 USD offer that transitioned Twitter into the X era.

Behind the façade lies a genuine capital manoeuvre. SpaceX aims to secure up to $50 billion USD in new capital at an approximate valuation of $1.5 trillion USD, perhaps surpassing Saudi Aramco's IPO as the largest fundraising in history. The war chest would enhance the reusable Starship system intended for Mars, augment Starlink’s already-preeminent satellite constellation, and finance an ambitious initiative to deploy AI-capable data centres into orbit, interconnected by around 9,400 satellites. Bankers and early investors are divided on the feasibility of mid-2026, citing the unfiled S-1, an impending worldwide roadshow, and a macroeconomic environment characterised by tariff concerns and interest rate uncertainties. However, if Musk successfully navigates this challenge, the SpaceX listing would integrate the new space race, satellite internet, and AI infrastructure into a singular, epoch-defining investment.
