This diamond-encrusted automobile clock will cost you US$215,000.

After last year's partnership with streetwear brand Supreme, elite jeweler Tiffany & Co. has once more expanded the limits of its artistry. For this year's gifting season, the American jeweler chose to integrate the realms of automobiles and horology. Introducing the "Time for Speed," a timepiece inspired by 1950s race car design.

This handmade remembrance exemplifies the jeweller's expertise, as this race car clock pays tribute to Tiffany's extensive legacy of crafting car prizes, beginning with the Vanderbilt Cup in 1904. In 2022, Tiffany introduced their third racing trophy in more than a century: the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix.

The automobile-shaped clock possesses an aluminum chassis adorned in Tiffany Blue and is equipped with durable rubber tires featuring polished stainless steel spokes and rims. Tiffany's proficiency in horology and gem-setting is prominently displayed as round brilliant diamonds totaling 19.53 carats are meticulously hand-set on the wristwatch. The dazzling diamonds adorn the clock's bezel and engraving plate in a pavé setting.

The left side of the automobile clock displays a brushed stainless steel aperture for the owner to read the time. The grille prominently displays Tiffany's trademark monogram, while the number five is painted on the automobile, referencing the jeweller's renowned flagship location on New York's Fifth Avenue.

The time can be adjusted by twisting the three-spoke steering wheel counterclockwise, and its mechanism is activated by dragging the car backward on a level surface. The escape mechanism and balancing wheel are observable from the driver's seat.

There exist two variants of the Time for Speed: one adorned with diamonds and the other devoid of them. The former is priced at US$215,000 and is available in limited number, whereas the latter costs US$40,000. One of these limited editions will be available just in Japan.
