Apple's price is $599 USD. The MacBook Neo has officially sold out. Cupertino's most recent entry-level laptop had depleted its initial stock by April, with the official web shop now indicating delivery dates extending well into May for all configurations. Upon its much awaited launch in early March, the cost-effective device generated an unforeseen surge in demand that far exceeds production capacity. The technology behemoth developed this revolutionary design from inception to challenge the conventional notebook industry. The device features a vibrant 13-inch Liquid Retina display and a fanless aluminium chassis, representing the inaugural use of an iPhone-class A18 Pro CPU in a Mac. Purchasers may select from an appealing array of four colour options: pink, indigo, silver, and a vivid citrus. The standard 256GB model presents an exceptional entry point for the ecosystem, while a $699 USD enhanced option has Touch ID and 512GB of internal storage. Both models provide a battery life of up to 16 hours and use a chassis made from 90 percent recycled aluminium.

This strategy shift towards cost is already disrupting the wider computer market. According to industry research firm Gartner, the new laptop contributed to a substantial 12.7 percent year-over-year increase in Mac sales during the first quarter of 2026. By focusing on the $500 USD to $800 USD price range, the brand effectively captured budget-conscious consumers, educational purchasers, and a vital segment of first-time Mac users. TrendForce analysts forecast that the very accessible hardware would elevate Apple’s total laptop shipments by 7.7 percent this year, demonstrating that quality design at a mainstream pricing continues to be a highly profitable strategy.
