Apple is developing a smart home display influenced by a classic iMac from the early 2000s, as reported by Bloomberg's Marc Gurman.

The smart home device is expected to be a completely new addition to the Apple product catalog, featuring a base reminiscent to the classic iMac. The base is purported to replicate the iMac G4, a personal computer introduced in 2002, featuring a display attached to a circular base that permitted screen rotation.

Gurman asserts that the device will be smaller than expected, approximately the dimensions of "two iPhones placed side by side," with the screen oriented at an angle.

The intelligent device will operate on a new operating system, incorporating certain applications from the iPad, as reported by Gurman. He also indicated that it is one of two intelligent devices Apple is developing; the other is purportedly a premium video conferencing apparatus that rotates on a robotic arm. That device, however, is not anticipated to be released until 2026.
